Background History…..PEMS
Founded in 1997, Oxinet started as a leading web application consultancy business which has been at the forefront of internet technology ever since. Our wealth of experience, genuine passion and skill has helped developed the industry-leading Placement Education Management System (PEMS)
Oxinet first began working in the placement education sector with the advent of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme in 2003, when the company built the KTP web application portal for the placement of University graduates – a system, maintained and supported by Oxinet to this day and now used by over 700 HEIs.
PEMS was originally built in response to a tender issued by Oxford Brookes University’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences in 2010. Oxinet was selected to build this system because of our knowledge and experience of working in the HEI placement sector.
Version 1 became available to other UK HEIs in 2013 covering both regulated (predominantly Healthcare and Teacher Training) and non regulated placements.
In 2021 we expanded our customer-base internationally when we were invited to address the placement needs of HEIs in Sweden. PEMS flexible design adapted readily to that challenge.

2023 has seen the Release of Version 2 of the product incorporating the very latest technical advancements; making the product even more flexible and easy to use.
