Oxinet was first contacted by Babyworld when they were a small start-up company in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, with only three employees.

Oxinet assisted in setting up their first network and specified and installed their web site authoring and management systems. As the babyworld site grew rapidly, we were then involved in developing the site further, and moving the whole operation to a hosted server farm in London.

Subsequently the Babyworld company was bought out by Freeserve, but it is testament to the good work and reputation of Oxinet that we still provide hosting, support, management and site updates to Babyworld.

The site includes back-end databases in SQL Server, ASP and graphic design from Oxinet.

In 2004 the "Babyworld Shop" was re-launched, which has been highly successful and generated significant revenue in it's first year of trading. The shop is based on an off-the shelf .NET package heavily customised to babyworld's requirements, including dynamic linking to the existing member database.
